Hated the Movie, loved the Fan-based Trailer (Plus Two Cent/Second Review)

Nurv.com created a Inception-inspired Dumb & Dumber trailer. From my recollection, the movie was cheesy and chocked full of slapstick, cheap laughs. My boyfriend seems to think it was a cinematic achievement. Seeing this trailer made me wish I remembered it differently!

And my two cent/ review of Inception:

Two Cent/Second Review

Saw Predators earlier this week. I definitely think it's worth seeing, but it gets cheesy midway and predictable through the film. That was disappointing since it starts off kicking @$$ and taking names. Adrian Brody is great as a strategic leader, but I can't picture him as a dangerous assassin (previous Predator protagonists: Danny Glover, Arnold Schwarzenegger). This was not a well-fitting departure for Laurence Fishburne or Topher Grace (again disappointing).

The action sequences and special effects were great when they weren't planning or fighting for their survival. I felt like the mystique of the predators was taken away for the sake of setting this film apart (Robert Rodriguez previously said this film picks up where Predator series left off - there's also a brief reference in the film). Thankfully, it does not follow the "Alien vs Predator" franchise. There's also potential for a sequel, which would be welcome and surely greeted with great reception. This film opened third with approximately $10 million its opening weekend.

Thoughts?
