If you're a fan of the burly Danny Trejo, you'll enjoy Machete. Trejo is a ex-federale kicking butt and taking names for revenge against his conspiring bosses. Legendary Robert DeNiro, action hero Steve Segal, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, Jeff Fahey, and jailbird Lindsay Lohan star alongside Trejo.
You might remember this trailer from Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse features in 2007. This guy is 66 years old and I wouldn't want to mess with this guy! Being a peripheral tough guy has definitely helped him become a unappreciated screen gem, but you can look forward to seeing more of his projects this year through 2012. I can see this film developing a cult following with the versatile Rodriguez heading the project.

Computer Screens on the Big Screen
The Social Network - I'm starting to think this isn't going to be a movie about geeks with a great idea with nothing but a Coke and a smile. Regardless, I'm looking forward seeing this movie. I heart Justin Timberlake and rooting for Jesse Eisenberg's star to shine bright! Also want to see up and comer Andrew Garfield (He's in Never Let Me Go), the recently confirmed Spiderman. For the latest on the film, visit www.500millionfriends.com. Sony brings The Social Network to theaters this October.
Middle Men is another film focusing on milestones that shook the Internet. Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi and Kelsey Grammer (ummm YAY!!!) According to IMDB, Men "chronicles Jack Harris, one of the pioneers of internet commerce, as he wrestles with his morals and struggles not to drown in a sea of conmen, mobsters, drug addicts, and pornstars." Sounds cool, definitely a formula we've seen before (people come into money in sleazy way and surprised when they meet unsavory characters...yada yada yada), regardless should make for a great flick if Grammer and Ribisi don't wet your whistle.
Check out the trailer here.

Enough to Make You Bend Over Backwards in Fear
This has got to be the creepiest poster I have ever seen in my frickin life!
Lionsgate is distributing Eli Roth's latest production, The Last Exorcism. He has been tweeting about the movie a lot lately and I'm sure the Hostel director will deliver.
The movie is shot like a faux documentary chronicling a slick reverend's last exorcism gone-awry. I don't recognize any of the flick's players, but you might have seen the protagonist, played by Patrick Fabian, in "Big Love"
Exorcism hit theaters August 27th. For photos and the latest trailer, visit the website here.

Vampires Suck: This Movie Might Too, but Rings True
Who has two thumbs and is tired of all these vampire movies, books, and shows...this gal! Came across this trailer and had to share with fellow Twihaters. While I'd probably wait to see this movie on DVD (or on TV), it makes valid points about the on-screen hormone melting pots new breed of vampire films.

Anneliese van der Pol (That's So Raven) and Hangover's Ken Jeong star. Vampires Suck comes out later this summer.
Cue the revival of werewolf, alien, and zombie flicks.

Let Me In Invites a Reimagining of Novel Adaptation
The trailer for Let Me In hit the web earlier this week. Let Me In is the American adaptation of Swedish horror film, Let the Right One In based on John Ajvide Lindqvist's novel. The Overture Films production will, like its predecessor, follow a lonely young boy that befriends a child vampire. Director Matt Reeves said this film is more of a reimagining, so audiences can expect surprises and a different direction. Kick-Ass actress Chloe Moretz, Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road), Elias Koteas (Shutter Island) and Richard Jenkins (Stepbrothers) topline this movie, which hits theaters October 1st.
You can definitely see that they are trying to reach a wider audience. I think this will be a bit more mainstream and lack the art house melodramatics, but only time will tell. You can can out the trailer for Let the Right One In here.
